Welcome to The Skin Therapy Edit (“The Skin Therapy Edit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online store, skincare questionnaires, product recommendations, content, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By visiting our website, purchasing a product, submitting information through our skincare questionnaire or Build My Routine experience, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. ABOUT THE SKIN THERAPY EDIT
The Skin Therapy Edit is a professional skincare retail platform offering curated skincare products and educational skincare guidance. Products may include professional, corrective, cosmetic, acne-focused, sun-protection, and home-care products from third-party skincare brands.
Product selection and educational recommendations may be informed by professional esthetics knowledge. However, The Skin Therapy Edit is not a medical provider, and use of our website does not establish a physician-patient, dermatologist-patient, or other medical-provider relationship.
2. SKINCARE INFORMATION IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
Information provided through our website, product descriptions, skincare questionnaire, Build My Routine tool, email communications, social media, educational materials, or other Services is intended for general skincare education and cosmetic product guidance only.
It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, disorder, or medical condition and should not replace advice from a physician, dermatologist, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional.

The Skin Therapy Edit may offer questionnaires, quizzes, consultations, algorithms, or other tools designed to help customers identify skincare products that may be appropriate for their stated concerns and preferences.
Recommendations are based on the information you provide and are intended as educational and cosmetic skincare recommendations, not diagnoses or individualized medical treatment plans.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information.
A recommendation does not guarantee that a product will be suitable for your skin or produce a particular result. Individual skin responses vary considerably.
Certain products, particularly corrective, exfoliating, retinoid, acne-focused, brightening, or otherwise active formulations, may require additional guidance regarding frequency, strength, or appropriate introduction into a routine. We may recommend contacting The Skin Therapy Edit for professional esthetician review before beginning or increasing use of certain products.
4. PRODUCT USE AND SKIN REACTIONS
Skincare products affect individuals differently. Even products formulated for sensitive skin or products previously tolerated by others may cause irritation, dryness, redness, breakouts, allergic reactions, sensitivity, or other unwanted effects.
Always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions, warnings, ingredient information, and usage directions provided with the product.

Customers should follow appropriate sun-protection practices and the directions and warnings accompanying their sunscreen products.
8. RESULTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED
Skincare outcomes vary based on numerous factors, including skin type, consistency of use, environment, lifestyle, other products, medications, underlying conditions, product tolerance, and individual biology.
Before-and-after images, reviews, testimonials, educational examples, product descriptions, and professional recommendations do not constitute a guarantee that you will experience the same or any particular result.
FDA guidance also distinguishes cosmetic appearance claims from claims that a product treats disease or affects the body’s structure or function. Our cosmetic skincare descriptions should be understood in that context unless a product is lawfully marketed for another regulated purpose.
9. PROFESSIONAL SKINCARE PRODUCTS
Some products sold through The Skin Therapy Edit are professional or highly active skincare formulations.
Availability for online purchase does not mean that every product or strength is appropriate for every customer.
We reserve the right to recommend professional review, suggest an alternative product, provide additional usage instructions, or contact a customer regarding a product selection when we reasonably believe additional guidance would be beneficial.
10. ORDERS
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products. We reserve the right to accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including due to product availability, suspected fraud, pricing or listing errors, purchasing restrictions imposed by a manufacturer, or other legitimate business reasons.
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
An order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of an order.
11. PRICING AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure pricing is accurate but reserve the right to correct typographical, pricing, promotional, or product-information errors.
Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be calculated or disclosed during checkout where required.
Promotions, discount codes, gifts with purchase, and special offers may be subject to additional conditions and may be changed or discontinued as permitted by law.
12. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Orders will be shipped according to the shipping options and policies displayed on our website.
Shipping and delivery estimates are estimates rather than guarantees unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery may be affected by carrier delays, weather, holidays, incorrect addresses, customs processing, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Please contact us promptly if an order arrives damaged, incorrect, or appears to have been lost in transit so that we can evaluate the situation and available remedies.
International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country unless otherwise expressly stated at checkout.
13. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Because skincare and personal-care products may present hygiene, contamination, and product-integrity concerns once opened, our return policy may distinguish between unopened and opened products.
The specific return and refund terms displayed in our Return & Refund Policy at the time of purchase are incorporated into these Terms.
Unless otherwise stated in that policy, products must meet the stated eligibility requirements and return timeframe to qualify for a discretionary return.
Nothing in our policies limits any rights you may have under applicable law relating to defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or materially misrepresented merchandise.
Washington generally does not require merchants to accept ordinary returns or exchanges outside certain circumstances, but merchants are expected to clearly communicate their return policies.

If you receive an item that is damaged in transit, defective, or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide your order information and, where appropriate, photographs documenting the issue.

Packaging differences alone do not necessarily indicate that a product is incorrect or inauthentic.

24. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
